1. About LapClub Exchange
LapClub Exchange ("the Platform") is operated by LapClub Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). The Platform connects property owners ("Hosts") with Australian lap travelers ("Travelers") for campsite stays, including paid stays, work-for-stay arrangements, or a combination of both.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
4. Host Responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information, including descriptions, photos, amenities, pricing, and work arrangements. Hosts must comply with all applicable local council regulations, planning permits, and insurance requirements for hosting travelers on their property. Listings are subject to review and approval before being published.
5. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers must respect Host properties and abide by any house rules or work agreements. For work-for-stay arrangements, Travelers agree to perform the agreed-upon work to a reasonable standard. Travelers are responsible for their own safety, insurance, and compliance with road and camping regulations.
6. Transactions & Payments
LapClub Exchange is currently a free platform. We do not charge listing fees, commissions, or subscription fees. For paid stays, all payment arrangements are made directly between Hosts and Travelers. We are not a party to any financial transaction between users and accept no liability for payment disputes.
7. Work-for-Stay Arrangements
Work-for-stay arrangements are voluntary agreements between Hosts and Travelers. These arrangements do not constitute employment. Both parties are responsible for ensuring any work arrangement complies with applicable Australian laws. We recommend using the Platform's Work Agreement feature to document expectations.
8. Content & Conduct
Users must not post misleading, offensive, or unlawful content. We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these terms. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". We are a connection service only and do not vet, inspect, or guarantee properties, users, or arrangements. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, we disclaim liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the Platform or any arrangement between users.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or on-platform notification.
